Artem Izmaylov Media Player (AIMP) is a free audio player for Windows. It was written by Russian developer Artem Izmaylov and is now being developed by the AIMP development team. It was aimed at being a lightweight, responsive audio player. It had been based on the BASS audio library but since beta version 3.00, has its own audio engine.

Version 1.5x-1.7x
Artem Izmaylov released the first version of AIMP as the name of AIMP Classic on August 8, 2006. (Version 1.5x-1.7x)
The next versions were Version 2.0x – 2.1x, Version 2.5x and Version 2.6x
The latest Version 3.xx has Own audio engine, Revamped music library, Full support for ReplayGain and Full support for translucent texture covers
